It's not just a shop, its an atmosphere.
If you're wondering if going to Magnolia is really worth it, heres my short answer... Yes! Magnolia Market At The Silos made a special kind of environment that can be enjoyed by all men, women, and children. As we all know there is plenty of shopping involved, but what most people don't know, is that they have a baseball diamond (but they provide wiffle balls instead of baseballs to prevent injuries), and a store filled with survival gear, books, baseball caps, and more. I think that this was a clever idea, so that all the guys have something to do while the women shop. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the making of Magnolia at the Silos.
I highly recommend going to Magnolia Table to eat at least once during your vacation to Magnolia. I would suggest arriving about an hour before you would like to eat, for there is usually at least a 45 minute wait. There are many options on the menu including gluten free options. Attached to Magnolia Table is a small shop and take out service owned by Magnolia called "Take Away" you can order food to go, buy from their coffee selection, and look at the kitchen related items being sold by Magnolia Home.
Before going to Magnolia Market, we decided to go to Joannas original store, "Magnolia Little Shop on Bosque". They still own this shop, but they now store all their items which will no longer return to stores after they sell out at the little shop on Bosque. They also sell some of their slightly defected items. However everything I saw was still in pretty decent condition. All of the items in the store are at a sale price.
At Magnolia Market, in the middle of the courtyard, you will see an old church. This church was moved from its original location to be at the market. The inside has been restored to be cleaned up, and more structured, but it still has its original beauty. It is open, so you can go in and look around. It's a beautiful work of art!
In the courtyard there are multiple food trucks which is great if you plan on spending a few hours at Magnolia at the Silos. We went to the grilled cheese truck and Alabama sweet tea truck. The sweet tea was quite possibly the best sweet tea I've ever had! Also they serve it to you in a glass jar with a lid and straw. Now of course that means the price of the sweet tea is a little bit higher, but you will also get free refills whenever you bring your empty jar to the truck.
Going to Magnolia was a fun experience and I would definitely go again! I loved all the details that were at Magnolia at the Silos, and inside each shop. Each store wasn't packed with stuff like we normally see in most stores, but instead they had a good supply of unique, good quality items. I am very pleased with each and every purchase I made while at Magnolia, and will never forget this amazing trip! Not only was the decor inside beautifully detailed, but so was the landscaping! There were luscious flowers, beautiful bushes, and perfectly cut grass.
Magnolia at the Silos also gives many photo opportunities with all their murals, cool backgrounds, and an old olive green jeep parked in front of the silos. You will be able to take pictures at almost every turn you take to be able to remember the magic of Magnolia at the Silos, for many years to come
.
If you ever get the chance to visit Magnolia in Waco Texas, take it! Theres something there for everyone, and I guarantee you wont regret it.
